The Phoenix Suns have signed Eric Gordon to a max contract worth $58 million over 4 years.

Eric Gordon said, "After visiting the Suns, the impression the organization made on me was incredible.  Mr. (Robert) Sarver, Lon Babby, Lance Blanks, the front office staff and Coach (Alvin) Gentry run a first-class organization, and I strongly feel they are the right franchise for me.  Phoenix is just where my heart is now."

New Orleans can match Phoenix's offer sheet, but the Hornets may not want Eric Gordon back if he wants out. So, look for them to match the Suns offer and do a sign-and-trade with another team.  As an insurance policy, the Hornets also have Austin Rivers, whom they just drafted, who can fill Eric Gordon's spot if his game is as NBA ready as many scouts believe it to be.
