Crazy Super Bowl prop bets are a staple of the big game--just try not to get in trouble with your wife

Crazy and outlandish Super Bowl props have always been a staple during the big game. Gambler seemingly go into desperation mode once they realize that there is only one game left to bet in the NFL season and go over board wagering on anything they can get their hands on. I am not proud to admit it, but I’ve bet on the over/under of the National Anthem before. Unfortunately for me, it was the year Christina Aguilera skipped a whole verse of the Anthem and came in almost eight seconds under, when, of course, I had bet the over.
Ever since that horrible moment, where I was screaming at the television before the game had even begun, I decided to swear off Super Bowl prop betting forever. Or, to be quite honest, my wife decided I should swear off Super Bowl prop betting forever. But, since window shopping is a harmless activity, let’s take a look a few of this years Super Bowl prop bets and not bet them because we don’t want to get our wives mad so close to Valentine’s Day.

Why will Alicia Keys perform with her hair up? Because she has amazing cheek bones, that's why

I love the coin toss bets, but I would rather bet it through Papa John’s because the prize is a free pizza, and I would rather win a free pizza over money any day of the week. Another prop that I love is the Gatorade color bet.  There’s really no way of actually knowing which color it will be, but I just have a feeling about Blue. I am not going to bet it, but if you want my advice, I say bet as much money as you possible can on blue.

Another intriguing wager is the Alicia Keys hair style prop bet. This one could go either way, but I believe Ms. Keys will wear her hair up during the National Anthem--I have no inside information on this bet, other than the fact that she looks fantastic with her hair up, as it really brings out the structure of her cheek bones. If I were you, that is one wager where I would be the farm--just don't let you wife find out, because you might just get banned from betting these crazy props ever again.
