What does the following mean to you: 3 college roommates, a dog that can fly by the name of Zoe, 7 Super Mario Games, 55 hours, and nonstop gaming?
Most likely, only one of two things are running through your head: "Why....?" or "I wanna play...".
Well, currently; Brian Brinegar, Dan May, and John Groth are three old college roommates with a cause. The initial plan was to raise $1500 dollars for the Child’s Play Charity by playing seven of the Super Mario games. The line-up contains with Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3, Super Mario World, Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and finally Super Mario Galaxy.
While the marathon kicked off at 3 pm EST on the 27th, "Chair Guy", "Couch Dude", "Couch Dog", "Blanket Girls 1 & 2" and so on have beaten SMB 1, 2, 3, World, and 64; most surprising...they've currently exceeded their original goal by about $6,000.
The current total is at $7870.24 raised going directly to the charity, Child's Play which is a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games, in over 40 different hospitals worldwide.
