Freedom for Vick is just hours away as news crews await his arrival

23 months have come and gone, and later today, suspended NFL player, Michael Vick, convicted in Federal Court of dog fighting ends his sentence today. Even though it's only 5:30 am here in Richmond, news crews are lined up downtown awaiting Vick's arrival at court to have the leg monitor removed and his sentence officially ended. Vick served only the last 2 months on house arrest. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has said he will review Vick's status after the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback completes his sentence.meaning the 29 year old could become eligible as of today enabling him to participate in summer camps which are scheduled to begin next week.

If Vick is allowed to return to football, it won't be for the Falcons, he was released from them back in June.
