After brief hiatus, the NCAA Tourney is back [Sweet 16 Open Thread]
East Region from Washington D.C.

Well, this is quite the battle of heavyweights. This is a rematch of the 1987 National Championship Game in which Keith Smart broke the Orange's (Orangemen at the time) heart. Indiana is one of the top title favorites, but Syracuse poses as big a threat as anyone to the Hoosiers. Syracuse scuffled a bit down the stretch, but was one of the nation's top teams for most of the season. Still, can they match the inside-outside game of Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller? I hope all of you on the east coast have Good Friday off, so you can stay up late and watch what should be a thriller.
My pick: Indiana
No. 9 Wichita State vs. No. 13 La Salle
West Region from Los Angeles

If you had this matchup in the Sweet Sixteen in your bracket -- more power to you, congrats. I didn't. The Explorers represent yet another team that had to play its way into the tournament, but has proceeded to make a surprising run. La Salle downed Boise State just to get into the main bracket, then upset No. 4 Kansas State in the second round and bested Marshall Henderson's Ole Miss squad in the third round.
But can they keep it up against the aptly-named Shockers, who bounced No. 1 seed Gonzaga to get here? Well, not if Wichita State shoots 50 percent for the field and 50 percent on three pointers like it did in the win over Gonzaga.
My pick: Wichita State
