Pachall, a junior, was reportedly charged with a DWI after running a stop sign and hitting a curb following a local traffic stop.
This is terrible news for the Horned Frogs, who have started the season 4-0 and are ranked No. 15 in the AP Poll. The offense has been potent with Pachall under center, who is currently fourth in the pass-happy Big 12 with a 180.0 passer rating.
We can't expect him to return anytime soon, either. Pachall previously admitted to using marijuana in a recent team drug bust that included his roommate, linebacker Tanner Brock.
Freshman Trevone Boykin is expected to get the start this Saturday against Iowa State. He has not seen significant playing time, but the dual-threat has compiled 196 yards in garbage minutes.
