I f****** hate TMZ. Let's just make that clear. They aren't the root cause of the destruction of our civilization, but they're pretty close to it.

Anyway, they decided to go after LeBron James for wearing his admittedly stupid LBJ/MVP t-shirt in New York yesterday.

So, what did they say, exactly? Here you go.

LeBron James rocked this egotistical t-shirt during a shopping break in N.Y. yesterday.

For the record -- you won't see Kobe Bryant wearing a shirt with his individual accomplishments plastered on the front of it during his championship parade today -- he's gonna let the trophy do the talking.

Yes, because we all know Kobe isn't an egotistical prick. Oh, but wait! Deadspin found a picture of Bryant from today's parade and my oh my, what is that? Why, that appears to be a Nike shirt with the hand of Kobe's lameass puppet on it complete with 4 rings championship rings adorning it.

Clearly, Kobe let the trophy do the talking, and not his shirt which is completely different from everyone else's.

What a crock.

As Deadspin says, "Did you really think LBJ could out-ego the master?" Hey, Kobe's original nickname in the NBA wasn't Frank Sinatra for nothing.

"I did it my way."

All Kobe Bryant and LeBron James got were these lousy t-shirts [Deadspin]

I'm sure Kobe is the only player on the team with an exclusive deal with Nike as well. It would not be out of the ordinary for it to be in his endorsement deal somewhere for him to wear either that shirt, or another similar one produced by Nike.

And I'm sure if it was in his deal that he *had* to wear that shirt with the rings on it, that he's got a huge problem with seeming so egotistical.

Really, how hard to you think Nike would have to twist his arm to wear a shirt like that?

I like LeBron's shirt...He should be wearing that cause it's a cool shirt, and he's the league MVP. Kobe's shirt is modeled after the MVP Puppets and NIKE like Raider Dave explained. EGOTISTICAL..DUHHH!!!! We're talking about the 2 most marketable NBA players out there right now. Egotistical? Or is it Smart Business? I like both shirts a lot...Especially the 4 Rings on the Kobe Puppet Fingers.

It's time to stop hating on KOBE...and now LeBron. We should be enjoying these guys while it lasts...How often will 2 NBA stars with this much talent be dominating the league both on the court and off the court at the same time? What's the point in dissing either of them? They're both phenomenal and are the main reason most of us watch the NBA right now...
