Unlike the Cubs, the Tampa Bay Rays have shown they aren't afraid of the playoffs, despite their inexperience. But tonight will determine what kind of killer instinct they have. Going back to Chicago tied at 1-1 could definitely change the entire complexion of this series.
And the White Sox will try and do everything to ensure that.
To try and steal the series back, the White Sox are going with one of their most reliable big game pitchers in the past decade, Mark Buerhle. Buehre (15-12, 3.79 ERA) finished this season strongly, going 7-2 in his last 11 starts. He last threw on Sunday, going seven solid innings to keep Chicago's playoff hopes alive.
The Rays will counter with Scott Kazmir (12-8, 3.49) who finished in the top 10 in the AL in strikeouts, with 166. The left-hander hasn't pitched in eight days, when he took a loss against Detroit.
If the White Sox want to win though, they better find someway to stop Evan Longoria, who hit two bombs in Game 1.
As of right now, 74% of FanIQ is going with the Rays.
