Tampa Bay Rays Versus Chicago White Sox Game 4 ALDS Live Thread [2008 ALDS]
We'll See If The White Sox Can Keep Winning For Chicago [ALDS Live Thread]
The Chicago White Sox will try and keep doing what the Cubs couldn't do in the playoffs - win. Down 2 games to 1 to the impressive Tampa Bay Rays, the White Sox know they're in a tough spot. But the good news for them is that they've been incredibly tough to beat at home this year.

Chicago went 54-28 at home during the regular season, compared to 35-46 on the road. And, obviously, they hung on at home to win Game 3.

Tonight the White Sox will turn to another of its young arms in 25-year-old Gavin Floyd, who makes his postseason debut after going 17-8 with a 3.84 ERA in 33 starts this season. You may remember Floyd pitched the critical game against Detroit that the White Sox had to win to face the Twins in the one game AL Central playoff.

Tampa Bay is going with Andy Sonnanstine, who's also making his first postseason appearance after posting a 13-9 record with a 4.38 ERA in 32 starts during the season. Although Sonnanstine went 0-3 over his last seven starts of the regular season, he is 1-0 with a 2.96 ERA in four versus the White Sox. He allowed seven runs in 21 innings during three outings versus them this season.

Right now, 56% of FanIQ is going with the Rays, despite the White Sox's impressive home record.

Come on Ozzie, I have done my bit by picking against the Sox here on the Q, now it is up to you and amazing brand of insanity to get this team to Game 5.

So go get 'em you crazy bastard!

It is looking good for the Rays.  If their pitching staff can keep looking as good as they have, they just might have a shot at winning it all.  What a kick in the pants that would be to the teams who have never won a World Series, and also to the one that hasn't won one in a century.

Where was I? At home near Los Angeles where I was born and raised a Dodgers fan. I went to 5 Dodgers games this summer where I either sat next to the clouds or in the right pavilion--stayed till the end of all and only saw the Dodgers win once against the Brewers. I have a hat signed by Bill Russell in 1988 when he was my girls scout group's adopted Dodgers player. I admit that I am a bigger Kings fan (hockey) than baseball fan but a fan I am indeed!!!

I am sorry your team hasn't won in 100 years---oops 101 years, but that is no reason to question us Dodgers fans. The Dodgers have pulled in good attendance numbers for many years and they last won a play off series in 1988.

As a Kings fan (yet to win anything in 40 years existence) I sympathize with you, but come on---lay off us please!

You are delusional. None of your predictions will come right.

Is this your good sport side?  If it matters.. I was rooting for my poor PADRES, but I really like Greg Maddux.  We let him go to the Dodgers.. questionable move.. *sigh*  but it's sad ya feel ill.  We'll be rootin for the Dodgers anyway :)
