I assume that the term fan is a shortened version of fanatic. And some fans are more fanatics than others. Like, say, this guy named Glenn Timmermann, who has 92 autographs of current and former Bears players tattooed onto his body. Notice Mike Ditka on the back of his neck.

Apparently every Bears player that he's ever met he has autograph his body, which he then instantly turns into a tattoo. Sounds, um, great.

Here are some more.

He's also got a Walter Payton tat on his leg, which is a little nicer than the autograph tats.

I wonder where that Jay Cutler autograph is going to go.

Now, you're probably wondering where exactly you'd run into a guy like this. Well, it was a ~~Hell's Angels Rally~~ Chicago Bears motorcycle rally. Of course it was.

1	What 70 year old do you know that gives two craps what anyone else thinks? I know I won't be in the club trying to get laid when I'm that old and I doubt he will either. Clearly this guy is gonna die alone though.

Well this guy likes it. And from the looks of it, you would never know if he were properly dressed. That's one cool thing about tats; if you get them in the right places, nobody will know unless you want them to. When this guy is 70 or 80, he is not going to care what they look like, and he especially doesn't care what you think about them. Besides, who said getting a tat is about making a statement? Tattoos go back thousands of years. People get them to make statements, yes, but also for spiritual reasons, artistic reasons, for protection, and for identification. Not that I would ever, EVAR do it, but it is a cool idea, IMO

Well I am damn near sixty and I still like women and what they think. Great grand dad lived to be 115 and was hit by a truck, not even natural causes killed him. He had his last child at 72. I am thinking I will caring what at least women think of me and still trying to get laid or something.

I don't have any tattoos and neither does my hubby, but if I wanted to get one, I would. Bottom line is, it's HIS body, HIS choice to tattoo it with signatures. Whether we like it, whether the doctors or nurses like it IF he lives to 80 is really none of our business. I'm damn sure he's not gonna say "Oh no, people don't seem to like my tats as much as I do, I'd better get them removed" To each his own.
