Terrell Owens Claims Tony Romo And Jason Witten Design Plays That Exclude Him
T.O. Is At It Again, And This Time It's Laughable
READ MORE:
NFL
Terrell Owens is known for causing turmoil with every team he plays for, and has long since proven he does not understand the phrase "there is no I in team."  When he played for the 49ers, he kept insisting that his quarterback, Jeff Garcia, was gay.  Then after the honeymoon wore off in Philadelphia, he humiliated Donovan McNabb.  Now he's at it again in Dallas.

T.O. is now claiming that Tony Romo and Jason Witten have held secret meetings. He claims that, since they're roommates on the road, Romo and Witten concoct plays for the upcoming game that purposely exclude T.O.  He says this is why Witten leads the Cowboys in receiving, and not him.  On NFL Live, Tim Hasselbeck and Mark Schlereth ripped T.O. a new one.  Schlereth called Owens paranoid and a narcissist who can't comprehend the concept of TEAM.  He's absolutely right.  If the world doesn't revolve around him, T.O. gets ticked off.

Here's the kicker, T.O. has been thrown to more.  You heard right, Romo has passed to T.O. more.  In the last 2 games, Romo hasn't thrown to Owens quite as much, however, Owens is still the idiot we've all grown accustomed to.  Since joining the Cowboys, Owens has caught 189 passes from Romo.  Jason Witten has caught 201.  So yes, Witten does indeed lead the Cowboys in receiving...BUT, you knew there had to be a but here, T.O. led the league in dropped passes in 2006.  That was not Romo's fault, it was T.O.'s.  Also, Romo has thrown to Owens 50 more times than Witten. FIFTY MORE TIMES!  I'm sorry T.O., but it's not Romo's fault that Jason Witten can hold onto the ball better than you.

This is the last thing the Cowboys need right now, as they're fighting for their playoff lives.  One more loss most likely ends their playoff hopes.  They can't afford to have T.O. acting like a little baby again.  Seriously, T.O., do you really have to be in the spotlight 24/7/365?  If Terrell Owens ever wants to win a Super Bowl, he better start worrying about playing as part of a team instead of worrying about how many catches Terrell Owens gets each game.

Let's hope T.O. gets his head screwed on straight one of these centuries, although I doubt that'll ever happen.

BK over and out

No way!  I would've expected this from Marvin Harrison, or Donald Driver, or even Hines Ward, but T.O.?  No way.  What's next?  Are you gonna try to tell me that Chad Johnson wants to change his last name to some number in a foreign language?

It really is uncanny. I mean, he does this at every stop, and it only gets weirder and worse each time. Seriously, he's eventually going to run himself out of the league. I honestly think the only team out there that would have ever been able to hold him in check would have been the Pats during their Super Bowl run. That's it. And I'm not even sure they could have done that even with Brady and Belichick. Dude is straights NUTS.

If Marvin Harrison did it, someone would have a bullet in them.

Speaking of which, I now know who shot Plaxico.

Damnit, I forgot that Harrison messed up his good name this offseason.  Speaking of which, what the heck happened to that case?

Just start a timer whenever he signs a new contract; about a year & a half in he changes.    Actually, he doesn't change......he just stops hiding who he really is.     Now, I am FAR from being a Cowboy fan, but I truly hope that they get rid of him (maybe that's why they traded for Roy Williams part duex ?), and that nobody picks him up.      Or, better yet, trade TO to Cincy for a 7th round draft choice.....or better yet, 81 water bottles !!

Wonder if (or when ) the 'race card' may be played here........hmmmmmmmmmmm

Hey dipstick - THEY ARE! You are a talented jerk - like you would include anyone in your attempt to rise to fame and power and suck all of the media spotlight.  I take that back, you would include anyone you thought could help you - then throw them under the bus as soon as you were done with them.

About the only thing he hasn't pulled yet - is he really that desperate/sad/pathetic/sick to pull that s***?

T.O needs some professional help and needs to learn to be quiet and shut his mouth every now and then otherwise not many other teams in the league will want him because of his antics

He is like a child in the worst way. Sad thing, when he starts running his mouth is when he starts dropping balls. He is always at his best when he shuts and plays. But I think he doesn't understand that phrase.

T.O. has been a huge hemorrhoid everywhere he goes. I truly believe he just ruined The Cowboys chances of beating The Giants by dividing the locker room. I don't care how talented a receiver is NO TEAM needs this kind of behavior while trying to make The Playoffs.

Frankly, TO is same guy, I am not surprised! HE THINK OF HIMSELF THAN HIS TEAM. he dont need speak out and just shut f2#$% up! I am glad Dallas have problem with situation and Giants have problem with media because of Burress' trouble issue. Giants are confident to win game against Dallas!

Remember TO last year dallas lost playoff he cried?! haha! he is crybaby! scoff!

Go Giants!!!!!

If he screws up in Dallas, which team is desperate enough to take him? I think even the Lions would think twice.

yeah, TO has always drop ball so why TO blame Romo always throw Wittens than TO? TO need zipper on his mouth, haha! He dont know how to shut up. if TO still talk then Dallas will screw up. Giants will win no matters what!  Because Giants make their mistake last week so Eli Manning said we will confident and will be fine with plenty WRs will help team to win game!

Go Giants!

TO, did you meet you replacement for next season?  His name is Roy Williams, and you have done a great job teaching him the offense that he and Witten will be functioning in next season and beyond.  Hope you have a good stay at the funny farm, because you've probably just burned your last NFL bridge.

Is he that desperate?  I wouldn't be surprised if he does try to pull the race card, but then we can talk about how many times per game Romo hands the ball off to Barber, Choice, and Jones, since you know, they're the same color as T.O. and all.

I though the whole idea of him going to the Cowboys was that the administration said they were able to keep his antics in check. They wouldn't "allow" him to have these egomaniac moments. Great job Cowboys. Keep up the stellar work. You're about what, 0-5 for the season for T.O.?

When he got to Dallas, Parcells was still there, and I think he knew better than to try to start his usual crap with the Tuna.  Then Parcells retired, and he probably thought "awesome, a new coach is coming in, now I can start my drama again."

Dallas knew TO reputation when they took him on so he is living up to said rep. I appreciate coaches and teams who will give players a chance:for example Randy Moss whose character was put to question in after his antics while playing for Oakland-but since going to the Vikings has shown a whole different side to his character. So that is a case where a change and leadership worked but I BET Moss was willing to change and become a part of a TEAM. TO is not. He was, is and will remain a self centered, cry baby who has no idea what it is to be part of a TEAM. Therefore until Dallas gets tired of him they will continue to suffer these distractions and Romo and the other teammates who want to work as a team will suffer for it the most because they are the ones working their butts off every game. I am a New York Giants fan and I want more than anything for them to come in and win Sunday but I love the game and I know how it feels when you are a fan of a team who is going through a season like they are.  So in fairness to The Cowboys as a team and their fans Terrell Owens needs to go!!!

I could be wrong but I thought even the administration was saying how they were going to keep in him line, not just Parcells. I have the memory of 10 second Tom so I could very well be wrong. Either way, someone needs to give him a swift kick in the ass to the CFL for a little while. Maybe that will humble him...although at this point if you've been through as many teams as he has, fired isn't a word you're really concerned about.

Wrong kiddo. You're not allowed to talk all you want to. He is a representative of the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys...aka...they have him by the b@!!$ and he needs to play nice like everyone else. He isn't get paid to talk, he is getting paid to play football the way they see fit, not him. And there in lies the problem, he is doing more running of his mouth than keeping track of his stats apparently. What happens at work if you were to start running your mouth about your coworkers and b****ing and whining about how things aren't fair? I'll bet it won't turn out well for you.

obviously, he can talk all he wants. i don't see him being fined for speaking his mind.. when t.o. has big plays they win games. how can you even compare being a professional football player to a regular job? yeah it doesn't turn out good for him cause these s****y reporters take pride in scapegoating his words into this big ordeal. if you can't tell all he wants to do is win games.. and for them to win games he thinks the ball has to be in his hands, and he's damned right

He's been thrown to 50 more times than Witten, and he has less completions than Witten.  I think you missed that part.  Also, she's 26, so don't go referring to her as an "old lady" and please refrain from use of profanity, thanks!

yeah well I dont appreciate being called a kiddo like I'm one of her sons haha. and I didn't miss the fact he's been thrown to more than Jason. He led the league in dropped passes 2 years ago.  So would you like to explain to me how it's Romo's fault that Witten has more receptions?

well of course Witten is more reliable I'm certainly not disputing that. what I'm saying is T.O's point is that when the ball is put in his hands, big things happen.  sometimes it's his fault, sometimes it's not. most of those 50 passes are tossed way down the feild out of anybodys reach cause T.O. has been double covered so much.

When a receiver is double covered, that's more of a reason NOT to throw to him.  He runs his mouth off way too much.  If they don't throw the ball to him 25 times per game, he gets ticked off and starts whining "nobody wants to play with me."  Also, if the ball is thrown clear down the field out of everyone's reach, that doesn't count as throwing TO Owens, because it wasn't thrown to him, it was thrown away.  T.O. acts like he's the ONLY player on that team that can make a difference, and that the ONLY way they're going to win is by throwing the ball to him on every single offensive play, which proves how selfish he is.  It's all about T.O., not the team.

TO also led the league in TD's that year.  If you're gonna slam the guy at least give him the props too.

I can't stand him because of what he did to the Star at Midfield when he was with the 49ers, but our GM brought him in and he has helped the team for the most part.

The portion of your statement above is not correct sir.  Since the stat of "thrown to" is really not an official stat, the person on the team with the ball that is closest to the pass when it hits the ground is who gets credit for being thrown too.....even if it is a duck.

Witten got credit for two "thrown to's" last week.  One went for 6 for Pittsburgh and the other one bounced 30 yards down field after three Steelers ran past it.

We don't have proof yet that it hurt the team.

Everyone is assuming that will be the outcome.

I personally don't think you can use a loss to New York as that proof either.  They lost to New York earlier in the year and everybody was happy and working together.  Now if they get the crap beat out of them because no one appears to be on the same page....I agree.

I thin kyou might find that Romo is not the same kind of QB as TO has messed with in Garcia and McNabb.  Romo shows an attitude similar Favre where he is all about winning.  He will continue to throw TO's way as the game permits.  And if he whines, he whines.

For Dallas's sake, I certainly hope that Romo doesn't let this get to him.  My point is it's deja vu with T.O., knocking his QB.  What he's doing does not look like a team player, and if he wants to see his team in the playoffs, he needs to shut his mouth and play football.

The problem with T.O. is Romo can't hit him when he's open. Just because he throws it his way doesn't mean he is accurateHe's just too fast for him. He likes to throw to Witten because he is an easier target. When he hits T.O,. in stride its usually a TD. T.O. only has two games with more than five catches, and both games he caught seven passes. Witten has eight games with more than five catches, but only two TD's to Owens' nine. T.O. is one of the best receivers in the league and he's definitely the best player on the Cowboys. Show me another team that doesn't get their best player the ball more than five times a game.. The man has 140 career TD's and he's not slowing down after 13 years. Get him the damn ball.

I disagree completely............... T.O gets plenty of balls that he just flat out drops. hits his hands, then hits the ground. ..... ALSO!!, to be a good reciever, you also need to be good at adjusting for "bad throws" and then catch them. And on top of all that, T.O is double covered on most plays... so it makes it that much harder to get him the ball.

If Romo throws 20 passes his way as they say, he catches five and drops two, that means over ten passes he had no chance at. T.O. led the league last year with 18 drops, which averages out to just over one drop a game. On his worst day he might have dropped three, And let's give the defender some credit and say he defends three passes. Romo still misses him at least eight times out of tghat twenty.  When Romo was injured, T.O. never saw the ball from Brad Johnson. Romo's first game back he hit him for one of those seven catch games and his ONLY game of over 100 yards receiving, 213 to be exact. Before that five straight games of about 35 yards per game receiving, and last week he was back down to 32 yards. Let's continue this discussion after Sunday night's game. Passes caught, dropped, defended, and off target are the categories I'll be counting, and I'll even add one more for you: passes he could have caught by adjusting.

Ok we will see. But some of them are opinions, just saying, some you would say are uncatchable i would say are. Ill be watching that game, so we can both keep a tally of our own, and then compare :) ... And like you said, 18 drops lead the league, so what if its 1.1111111 per game or w.e. its still the most dropped passes in the league.  Now im even more anxious to see this game :)

Nobody produced any big numbers other than Choice. It was a team effort with a lot of contributors. And if there hadn't been interference that could have been a TD because McQuarter was beat. I have no problem with anyone considering who they were playing and they stayed within themselves, Romo forced nothing.

I don't know why you're commenting if you don't even watch pro sporte. BUT, how can you say that you are sure this isn't the first incident with the Cowboys? Fact of the matter is everyone still seems to want to play together and win games. That in itself is an upgrade to what happened in SF and Philly. There's still 2 very important regular season games left and (hopefully) the playoffs, so we'll see what happens.

I think everyone is just really pulling for this to blow up and destroy this team. I think T.O. and Witten are professional enough to know how to smooth things over with the diva reciever.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize you have written an irrefutable truth.

Do some research and please back it up then. What were the previous bad incidents concerning T.O. and the Dallas Cowboys?

Or do you not care to because you don't even watch NFL? That's why I commented back.  If you watched and cared about the subject maybe you could add something of value to the conversation. But you don't and you still felt the need to say something vague like, "I am sure this is not the 1st complaint with the cowboys."

Pick any team and tell me that their biggest star is "without complaint" over their tenure with said team. Tom Brady? Illegimate child. Peyton Manning? Calling out his offensive line. Clinton Portis? Yelling at his own coach Albert Haynesworth? Stepped on someone's face. Steve Smith? Punching. Randy Moss? Mooning Reggie Bush? Sucking.
