Terrelle Pryor's agent is furious that Terrelle Pryor was named starter for Sunday
"I think they're putting him in hopes that he fails,” Terrelle Pryor's agent Jerome Stanley said in response. “That's what I think coach is doing. I think they're putting him in hopes that he has a bad game, so he can then justify the Matt McGloin situation. I think that's what's going on, I do and it's ridiculous.
Terrelle Pryor's agent is upset that Pryor has been named the Raiders starting quarterback for Week 17. "You have to understand the coach is putting him in, he doesn't want him to look good," Terrelle Pryor's agent Jerome Stanley told CSN Bay Area. "And you can write that. He doesn't want him to look good because, if he looks good this week, it makes the past five weeks look like a bad decision. [Raiders coach Dennis] Allen doesn't want him to look good, he wants him to look bad. That is what is going on."
To put that statement in context, Matt McGloin has been the Raiders starting quarterback for the past five weeks. Pryor strained his MCL in Week 9 against the Giants, and McGloin was effective enough that Pryor lost the starting position.
To his credit, Terrelle Pryor realizes that his agent just did something amazingly unprofessional. Pryor tweeted a screenshot of a typed apology Monday night, reading, "I apologize for the recent comments about the Raiders organization. That's not what I'm about. I'm thankful for this opportunity given to me by this great organization and the phenomenal fans. I'm very excited to play with my teammates Sunday! We hope to make you (fans) proud!"
Thanks, Terrelle! And we (fans) hope you fire your (moron) agent!
