Texas offensive lineman Jake Cochran has reportedly broken his leg and will miss the remainder of the spring practice session, according to Randy Riggs of statesman.com.Blog Photo - Texas Football: Josh Cochran breaks leg in practice

Cochran, who was the starting right tackle last season, fractured his lower left leg in practice on Wednesday and is expected to be fully recovered by the time summer workouts begin in August.

As a coach, your number one goal during spring practice is to keep everyone healthy. While this isn’t the case here, at least it has happened so early that it shouldn’t affect the regular season.

Cochran started seven games as a freshman in 2011 and started all 13 games for Texas in 2012, playing 11 games at right tackle and two at left tackle.

Needless to say, he’s an invaluable asset to the Longhorns’ offense and they need him to come back 100 percent.
