Russell Wilson won't be stepping up to the plate for the Rangers anytime soon
The Rangers have ruled that out, saying they're unwilling to take the risk of him getting hurt.
I guess that's nice of them, and I'm sure the Seahawks appreciate the Rangers protecting their investment, but it's a little disappointing.
Wilson will be with the Rangers almost exclusively in a speaking only role. He'll basically be a motivational speaker for the team, since he has done something that most of the athletes in the Rangers organization have never done: Won a championship at the highest level of professional sports.
It's understandable that the Rangers are keeping him mostly under wraps, but it would have been awesome to see him get a couple at bats at some point.
