Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! We have a special Holiday edition of our Pre-Game and Live Thread today, as I was able to drag my family in for the event, and we welcome everyone's adopted pop, Beaneaters (you know him as Beans or Cecil). I figured, if the NFL can share their families with all of us during the holiday, so can we!

Beans will give us the rest of his Week 12 picks on Sunday as well, but we get a sneak peek today.

As for my family, let me introduce to you my husband Trever (CornfedMK on the site) and our daughter Kiernan (she's too young to have a FanIQ profile yet, but I'm sure she'll be terrorizing all of you in a few years). To the left is a picture of them this summer at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Trever is a machinery technician in the US Coast Guard, and Kiernan is a sweet and sassy 5th grader. They both share my love for the Seattle Seahawks, and sports in general.

Houston Texans @ Detroit Lions

Cecil: The ball could be passed 1000 yards here; I have to go with the Texans. Mostly because when they win, I believe it makes Leigh tingle. Who doesn't like that?

Kiernan: Houston. Because Houston's the better team in that game!

Trever: Unless Houston is feeling generous for the holidays, I don't think Detroit's got too much of a chance to win. It would definitely take Matt Stafford finding Calvin Johnson...a lot...for them to be able to win that game. Houston's the better all-around team.

Jess: I'm hoping the Lions give us a good game, and I think they have just enough talent to do that. The Texans are so solid though, and I don't see much hope for the Lions either, barring something extraordinary happening in Detroit. It might be a shootout though, which could be entertaining.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Cecil: I think RG3 is on a roll, but if Romo gets hot, Dallas could take it. The ‘skins were my dad’s favorite team forever, so I am bias. Go Redskins.

Kiernan: Washington. Definitely Washington...because Dallas sucks!

Trever: This one's a hard one. It's a tough matchup between two division rivals. There's a lot on the line for Dallas - they win this game, they put themselves in playoff contention, one game out in the NFC East. But at the same time, I like what RGIII brings to the table. I'm gonna pick the 'Skins.

Jess: Is Dez Bryant catching anything yet? Even though Romo has his...issues...Thanksgiving seems to be the time he shines every year. Like Beans, I also have a little soft spot for the Redskins - they were my favorite uncle's favorite team.

New England Patriots @ New York Jets

Cecil: I’ll make this brief. Bill Belichick is Satan, and the Jets are worried that if they don’t play well, Tebow comes in. NYJ wins like crazy.

Kiernan: Go Jets!

Trever: Well, gotta love her spirit. I hate Tom Brady and all of his effin endorsements, but that doesn't change the fact that New England's winning this game. The Jets are worse than my high school love life, with scores being few and far between.

Jess: Hah! Cute. Well, I agree with Cecil about Belichick being Satan, but I'm not sure about NYJ winning. Kiernan, I fear that being born a Seahawks fan during some of the leanest times has given you an affinity for hopeless teams - first the Jags, and now this? A chip off the old block, I see. Anyway, I think that New England wins this, but if I'm not mistaken I also believe the Jets will play better against them than they usually do. We could see an upset here, but I wouldn't put money on it.

Hi Honey. I am willing to be The Eagles cannot beat their way out of a paper bag. I a very disgusted with them. I've been trying my best to be a NY Jets fan. I used to think Sanchez was a fairly good QB! Looking at his stats he is one of te WORST! I wonder if Tebow would improve his abilities if he was used regularly: playing infrequently he is very disappointing too.

I really wanted the Jets to win - I didn't think they would, but it would have been cool. And honestly, the Pats didn't even play their best - the Jets were just comically awful. My favorite part was when Sanchez ran right into his own guy's rear and fumbled. What the...? That was like a cartoon.

Does anyone have any pumpkin pie up in this joint? Who doesn't have pie on Thankgiving? Or at least some cobbler? Ugh. At least me and my stepnephews commandeered the television long enough to watch a couple of quarters of football earlier.

My cousin is at the Cowboys game today, crying his ass off.

What a way to start off Turkey day football with a great game out of the Texans and Lions. Looks like I am heading towards 2 and 0 with predictions. Come on Jets.
