I am sure that Yankees fans will not get any joy out of this article.
A radio DJ for a station in Boston has offered to fund a fumigation of Jacobs Field prior to Game 3 of the ALCS.
Host Greg Hill placed a call to various officials in Cleveland but has not received official word on whether his offer will be accepted.
He did get one nice replay from a member of the mayor's staff:
"I don't think the fumigation is necessary," Michelle Watts, Assistant to the Chief of Communications for Mayor Jackson, said. "We are very hospitable here (in Cleveland) and we just want to make sure when you lose that you feel as though we took care of you."
Rumor is that Mayor Jackson himself was on the air with Hill on Friday morning. If anyone knows the result, I am sure we would love to hear it.
