Jeff Teague will remain in Atlanta after all
Over the weekend the Hawks matched a four-year, $32 million offer sheet that Teague had signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. Had Atlanta not matched the offer, Teague would have been reunited in Milwaukee with his former Atlanta coach, Larry Drew.
Teague, who will be entering his fifth season out of Wake Forest next year, averaged a career-high 14.6 and 7.2 assists last season, his second as a starter.
It has been a busy offseason for Atlanta, who signed forwards Paul Millsap and Demarre Carroll to try and offset the loss of Josh Smith in free agency.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee signed O.J. Mayo after losing Monta Ellis and Teague. It remains to be seen if free agent guard Brandon Jennings will be back in Milwaukee.
