Today we continue our campaign to get Billy Packer off the air. We've already covered his homophobia and racism, so today is sexism.While covering a Duke game in 2000, some female students working security, poorly versed in their “cantankerous old sportscaster” knowledge, asked Packer to show his press pass. Packer was overheard saying, "Since when do we let women control who gets into a men's basketball game? Why don't you go find a women's game to let people into?"
Packer apologized after the comments were published in Duke University's student-run newspaper, The Chronicle. Yet again, nothing happened to Packer. How come? I have no idea. But if you look up jackass in the dictionary, his picture is prominently featured.
