Jones is a versatile defensive lineman who can play anywhere on the line.

The Packers will likely play Jones as a 5-technique defensive end in their 3-4 defense. That is never a glamorous position, but a necessary one. Jones will likely be asked to eat up a bunch of blockers on first and second down, and if he performs well, he can rush the passer on third down.

Last season Jones had a staggering 19 tackles for a loss -- a great number for a hand-in-the-ground lineman. He has 62 total tackles and 6.5 sacks.

The pick is a bit of surprise given Green Bay's issues on the offensive line and in the running game last season. Expect the Pack to target those positions laster in the draft.
