The Nationwide series rolled into Elkhart Lake Wisconsin to take part in the Bucyrus 200. This was the first time the Nationwide series was at Road America. This track is nestled in the heart of dairy country of Wisconsin which has beautiful rolling hills and nice mature woods that surround the track  It's a wonderful place to take in 43 stock cars maneuvering through the fourteen turn track. Not so elegant as an open-wheel car but still very skillful. Even though there was a thirty-one minute delay to clear the track for the "Big One" .  Road America is one of the best road courses in America. The track is in great condition and very well maintained. The facilities are very fan friendly, and the staff is very nice. Hopefully Nationwide will come back to this road course. Since the Milwaukee Mile is still sorting things out this venue is far more than a suitable replacement. It also keeps the Nationwide series in the state of Wisconsin. It is too bad the Camping World Truck Series didn't come as well. It would have been nice to see those trucks banging through their way on that track too. This was a great weekend seeing the Nationwide Series, SCCA Pro-Racing's Trans-Am and MX-5 Series, and Mid-American Stock Series. A lot of racing for the weekend. Maybe another NASCAR series will work it's way up to the central part of Wisconsin and take part of the next big NASCAR weekend at Road America!  Hear that Sprint Cup Series or Camping World Truck Series, or how about having all three!  Here's to all for a great weekend of racing where road racing at its best!
