Who can possibly forget the great story of the buried David Ortiz jersey at Yankee Stadium? Well, I had been trying to all week. But then this tidbit of information popped up on my computer today.The Ortiz jersey is up for sale on eBay. By the way, if you're surprised by this news, then you might as well just give up on life, because the world has passed you by.
Yes, the still hideously dirty shirt is up on eBay for anyone to buy. The good news at least is that the money is going to charity - the Jimmy Fund.
I definitely approve of that. There's only one problem though. There's apparently a second Ortiz jersey up for sale on eBay as well. And oh yeah, there's a third one too.
Somehow I only remember one jersey being buried, but that's just me.
So now the question is who am I potentially giving my money to? A worthy cause or some sleazy huckster? By the way, I'm very impressed that people have the cojones to try and cheat out a cancer-research charity for money. The internet is truly a hilarious, and sometimes depressing, place.
