After missing the entire ’11-’12 season with a heart condition, Jeff Green is reminding the NBA just how good he was when he was healthy. In a preseason game against the New York Knicks this past weekend, Green was dunking everything in sight.
The return of Green might also be the reason why the Celtics were so readily willing to let go of Ray Allen. Even though Green isn’t a shooting guard, the Celtics can easily slide Paul Pierce to the two guard slot and have Green move into the three guard slot. The Celtics can also place Green at the power forward spot and have KG play the center position if they wanted to go small and athletic.
Look for Green to have a bounce back year this year. He's still young, athletic, and about to enter the prime of his career.
