What is it about playing Pitt in MSG during the Big East Tournament? We clearly had the better team, but the guys came out lethargic and careless. . .Our back court play was pathetic and our defense was not its usual self. . . David Padgett had to have been surprised by how much rough play the refs were letting Blair get away with, especially considering the fact that DC gets an offensive foul called on him as soon as he catches the ball in the post! If the BE refs had been as nice to Caracter during the season as they were to Blair last night, maybe Cardinal Nation wouldn't be viewing DC's sophomore season as a disappointment. . .Earl and DC's play was impressive as was the defense provided by Preston Knowles. . .The shooting must improve though if we are going to make a strong push in the NCAAs. . . As much as I was down on Will Scott at the beginning of the year, Pitino should have given him some PT in the past two games considering our shooting woes. . .Maybe its about time Pitino just benched Sosa for good and let Preston or T-Will back up Andre at the point. He hurts us so much defensively and his terrible shot selection hurts our flow offensively. His constant pouting is also becoming tiresome. Let's pray we sign Siva form Seattle!
