Winter is coming… and with it the transfer window. This time there is going to be some unusually big transfer activity in the winter transfer window in the English Premier League.

Few transfer rumors have been heard from Spain in the first half of the season. The same can be reported from Italy and France. However, England proves to be an exception.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are keen buffing up their teams.

In spite of making big signings this summer, Arsenal just can’t seem to shake off their inconsistent form. Chelsea continues their search for a striker along with Liverpool, while Manchester City and Manchester United attempt to strengthen their respective midfields.

Here is a list of the biggest and the most shocking transfers predicted to take place during the winter transfer window.

3 – Chelsea and Liverpool to sign in a big striker

Chelsea can boast about one of the strongest attacks in Europe, but the truth is that they have only two strikers in their squad. The departure of Didier Drogba has left a huge void in their strike-force.

The inconsistent Fernando Torres and the out of favor Daniel Sturridge are the only two strikers manager Roberto Di Matteo has at his disposal.

This is why Radamel Falcao has become such a popular option for the Chelsea brass. Chelsea has been after Radamel Falcao for over a year now, but somehow a deal for the Colombian star has not been finalized.

Chelsea will make another attempt to sign in him during the winter transfer window.

As for Liverpool, manager Brendan Rodgers will be happy to bring any talented striker at Anfield. Liverpool has just one striker in their squad, the notorious Luis Suarez.

Brendan Rodgers is keen on strengthening his attack with the ton of funds he has been allotted by club. Expect Liverpool to make bids on big players this winter.
