The undefeated bantamweight female fighter Sara McMann has decided to join Strikeforce. With a record of 6-0 MMA and 0-0 SF, Sara McMann is considered to be one of the top female veterans of the sport.  
According to various media reports, Sara McMann has inked a multi-fight deal contract with striker force. The former Olympics wrestling silver medalist is expected to debut in November.
Strikeforce has featured event on November 3, which is expected to be the official debut date for Sara McMann. The exact terms and details of Sara McMann’s contract and the name of her opponent haven’t been disclosed yet.
Nonetheless, Sara McMann is expected to put up against one of the senior female fighters in Strikeforce.
The 31-year-old American last fought at the Invicta Fighting Championships 2 in July. At the event Sara McMann defeated Shayna Baszler through submission to record her sixth consecutive win as a professional.
An even more impressive fact about Sara McMann is that it took only 14 months for Sara McMann to grab her sixth consecutive victory.
Sara McMann is without a doubt one of the most decorated and well known female freestyle wrestlers in American history. Sara McMann won her only Olympic medal at Athens in 2004. She won the silver medal whilst competing at 63 kilograms.
Sara McMann has also acquired medals in various other contests. For instance she is a three-time medalist at the FILA Wrestling World Championships and has won gold two times at the Pan American Games.
The Maryland native is presently ranked No. 5 at 135 pounds in the Unified Women’s Mixed Martial Arts rankings.
Ronda Rousey is the current champion in this division. Sara McMann and Ronda Rousey are expected to greet each other in the octagon pretty soon. If it starts to take too long then expect the Olympic medalist ‘Rowdy’ Rousey to challenge Sara McMann herself.
Sara McMann is ranked 10th as a pound-for-pound female fighter. Meanwhile, Ronda Rousey still holds the top spot in this category as well.
