Jerry Sandusky has been convicted of 45 out of 48 possible counts in his child sex abuse trial, and faces up to 442 years in prison.Sandusky, whose actions at Penn State University shook the nation, still has to face the sentencing portion of his trial in 90 days, when we'll find out exactly how long his sentence will be.
Sandusky is currently 68 years old, so it's likely that he'll never live outside prison walls again.
People outside the courtroom celebrated when the verdict became known, and practically every news outlet in America covered the news of the verdict.
This scandal tore apart Penn State University, which had previously been known for a high standard of ethics, both athletically and academically.
Sandusky's actions led to the firing of legendary coach Joe Paterno, and a complete overhaul of the football program, not to mention the physical and emotional harm that he inflicted on the countless children that he abused.
Possibly the most tragic and disgusting sagas in the history of college athletics is now coming to an end, as Sandusky's sentence will be known within a few days.
At long last, justice will be served. At least as much as it can be, at this point.

Not sure what the maximum sentence would be, but he should get it. I watched the interview with one of the abused young men and it made me seriously want to vomit. He had no right to abuse those young men. Hope he rots in jail.

I hope the court does the right thing and put him in prison for a long time, to show that this type of crime is taken serious and it's not the victim/s fault what happened to them.

I'm glad... I just had a horrible feeling that the jury might make the wrong decision.
