Yep, you guessed it, it's about Tony Dungy.
Even though he's dodged the issue until next week, almost every sign points to his departure. From the mysterious reports of his son transferring to a school in Florida, to his almost open-ended responses to his future after the 28-24 defeat this Sunday it all spells that he is moving on. Add in the sudden withdrawl of Jim Caldwell's prospective bids to become the next coach of either the Ravens or Falcons, to the naming of Caldwell as the next successor to the Colts' head coaching position and it is almost inevitable-- If, (and that's a big IF) Jim Irsay can sweet talk Dungy he's almost assured of leaving after one more season. Supposedly Irsay has even proposed a personal plane for Dungy to fly between Florida and Indy so he could spend more time with his family.
I'll drop another point-- many people forget this but I caught it very much so, that Dungy was pondering leaving LAST season right after the XLI victory, which was quickly rebuffed after it was leaked for a couple of days, or should I say was brushed off by saying he dosen't want to coach as an old man and that he wants to leave coaching for another line of work.
Watch and see, I think it's gonna happen-- the old saying comes to mind-- when you see smoke, there's probably a fire somewere nearby.
