We're gonna make this quick this week - last week was pretty uneventful. Save for Chicago losing in LA and Austin finding an offense, the week was devoid of major surprises. Now that I've snagged you with that catchy opener, it's time for the recaps.

Friday saw the 2 featured games of the weekend. Dallas edged Philadelphia 59-56, while San Jose beat Orlando 59-52. Neither result was much of a surprise, though Philadelphia & Orlando had hoped to make statements heading into the last weeks of the season.

On Saturday, Georgia beat Columbus in a game most thought would be more competitive, while Kansas City got another win. The biggest surprise of the week was Austin somehow scoring 82 points in a win over New York. Tampa Bay and Los Angeles won the night's other 2 games.

Finally, Sunday saw the Arizona Rattlers stay alive for a playoff spot momentarily over Las Vegas, while Utah's defense held Colorado to just 14 points. More on that later, now it's time for the rankings.

Here is this week's Super 7, which as usual was picked by you, the fans. Each team listed has their record next to their name, as well as their gain or loss in the rankings from the previous week.

Arena Football League Super 7 - After Week 14

7. Orlando Predators (7-6)  Down 1 spot

Don't feel bad, Orlando, lots of decent teams have lost to San Jose recently. At least you kept it close.

6. Colorado Crush (8-6)  Down 1 spot

I tried. I didn't want Colorado in the Super 7 this week, but I only get 1 vote just like everyone else does, and not many of you noticed that the Crush scored just 14 points in their loss to Utah last week, while turning the ball over 6 times. That's just craptacular football.

5. Kansas City Brigade (8-5)  Up 2 spots

Kansas City continues to storm their way up the rankings. This week they head to Columbus, who have not played well recently.

4. Chicago Rush (9-4)  Down 1 spot

I suppose a 3 point road loss in Los Angeles without your best player isn't the end of the world.

Back to the Super 7...

3. San Jose Sabercats (10-3) Up 1 spot

Finally, a new team in the 3rd spot! San Jose just keeps on winning games. There's nothing like getting those losses out of the way early in the year and then moving on.

2. Georgia Force (11-2) No change

So much for that "tough test" against Columbus. Georgia won easily to stay within reach of Dallas.

1. Dallas Desperados (12-1) #1 team for 6th consecutive week, 14th overall

Dallas is good. There's not much more to say about that at this point. Provided they don't slip up these last 3 games, they will have the #1 seed.
