NFC West Showdown in St. Louis [Thursday Night Football Live Thread]

Blog Photo - Thursday Night Football Week 5 Live ThreadThe Arizona Cardinals have a great opportunity to earn a surprising record of 5-0 this season when they visit the Rams tonight at the Edward Jones Dome. With the way they're playing on defense, they're the clear favorites in this game.

Don't expect the Rams to lay down for them, however. St. Louis has been a lot better team than expected, too. They lost a close one to the Lions, but were able to beat a decent Redskins team and overcame a dominant Seahawks defense for the W.

Keys to a Rams win: Keep Bradford protected; give him time in the pocket to pick apart the secondary. And of course, Special Teams.
Keys to a Cardinals win: Keep Greg Zuerlein off the field at all costs, meaning - don't even let the Rams cross the 50-yard line.

An upset is definitely possible tonight. Let's keep in mind the Dolphins came *thisclose* to beating the Cardinals last week and couldn't close the deal in OT. Sans the Eagles game in week 2, all of their wins have been close; one even controversial. And the Rams are tough at home. It should be an interesting game, so tune in to NFL Network, grab a drink, and Q it up here tonight! (Go ahead and mute the Cee Lo intro).

NFC West is going to be a dog fight this season.  Regardless of where the Rams finish, it's nice to see them putting up a fight this year.  Fisher has this team believing they can compete every week and right now, they are.

I love how competitive this division is this year. As nice as it is to have more of a chance to win it, I was getting sick of it being a joke. It's nice to have some good talent that people are starting to recognize!

That was quick - nice drive.

(I have no idea who I want to win this game...I don't hate either team, but they're both division "rivals" - either win hurts my team in the long run. Oye.)

I would think, as a Seahawks fan, you'd like to see the Cardinals lose a game here if you want to win a division title, no?

Absolutely..but as a realist, I know that between Arizona and San Francisco, that's not gonna happen.

Calling the end of Arizona's streak before the game starts! GO Rams!

While I usually love Cee Lo, I don't dig his part in the Thursday Night Football intro. But who's this chick they have singing "in this city" or whatever that is, right before? That's cool, why don't they just keep that, and the fans?
