Tiger Woods' wife gives birth to a baby girl, Sam Alexis Woods

Less than 24 hours after Tiger Woods finished second at the U.S. Open on Father's Day, his wife gave birth to their first child, a daughter. He announced Monday night on his Web site that Sam Alexis Woods was born early Monday morning:
Elin and I are delighted to announce the birth of our daughter, Sam Alexis Woods. Sam was born early Monday morning, June 18th. Both Elin and Sam are doing well and resting peacefully. We want to thank our doctors and the hospital staff for all their dedicated and hard work. This is truly a special time in our lives and we look forward to introducing Sam to our family and friends over the next few weeks. We thank everyone for their well wishes and continued respect of our privacy.

Notice he didn't use 'Wassup Y'all.' Thanks Tiger, and congrats.

Now he won't have to worry about missing any tournaments to be there for the birth.

 

I like the name choice too, those are 2 of my favorites.

Sam already has as many LPGA tour wins as Michelle Wie. I think she'll get her first before her, too. Actually I'm pretty confident Sam won't be a golfer.
