Call me old fashioned, but I've always believed that when you do something where the police get called in, you have to, you know, speak to them. But hey, Tiger Woods says "F*** that."
Yes, in news that proves celebrities in our society get no extra benefits at all, Woods and his wife were not available to speak to state troopers for the second straight day, asking that they return Sunday to try to clear up questions about how he crashed his SUV into a neighbor's tree. And the police obliged, even though you know if Woods were a drug dealer, they'd have smashed his door in immediately. And shot his dog.
By the way, this incident gives me the chance to bust out one of the best sketches in Chappelle Show history. Let's just say Tiger pulled a Tron Carter on the police.

and your next statement about major williams' statement was equally proposterous and rest be assured, there will be no sanctions on tiger for this...you can't sanction him for cheating on his wife or whatever all that nonsense you were saying was about

Dude..I just took a look at who gave some respect to another member here in Fan IQ for saying, "You should find another blog to practice in... One with less IQ in its title."
Then you said, Take the advice and please go away!
Please let me know exactly why you feel this way...I'm still waiting for one of you two to show me where I am back peddling in any of my postings about Tiger this weekend? It's been 2 hours since I posted that question...
Really bro, I challenge you to find ONE statement in my postings about Tiger that personally attacks you or your blogging opinions? You won't because the only reason you are upset is because I can debate with intellect and you feel threatened by that.
Also I challenge you to find ONE statement I made in the Tiger postings that accuses Tiger or his Wife of anything?
On your 1st posting, you claimed that this story is "Much to do about nothing"...and I disagreed based on how popular Tiger Woods is.
You're kind of weird buddy..Seriously, copy and paste some comments I said, and show me what is making you feel I should go away...Be a Man. Our statements can't be hidden...All the things we have both written today are saved in a digital fingerprint. I hope you feel good about what you said...Because the Q will be reading it.

You see, it's pure speculation that got you here in the first place. Let's stay fact-based in our discussion. Based on the motor vehicle accident that occurred, why does Tiger need to talk further with the police? All he has to do is make whole on the property that was damaged.

It's not like Horatio from CSI is clamping down on the case, the police just want to make sure everything is correct in the accident report because there was a head injury involved. If Tiger wanted his name to be cleared up, he would have talked to the police already...
It's blatantly obvious that Tiger and his Wife are hiding something here and stalling...Doesn't it make things look more suspicious, the longer they wait to talk?

Tiger is not obligated to say anything but to hand over his license and registration and insurance information. The MRS. isn't either. The only reason they want to talk to him is so they can sell the story to TMZ. The only person that called this in is the nosy neighbor, so again they aren't required to talk to anyone.

The Police can request an interview with Tiger and Elin, but unless he or she is under arrest, they have no obligation to speak to them. If they decide to speak to the police, fine, they can do so with lawyers present. If the lawyers aren't available, the Police have to wait. If the circumstances of this incident occurred in my small town, it's doubtful the police would even attend. The hydrants belong to the City here and it certainly isn't uncommon for one to be knocked over in an accident. The trees in our back alley have been smacked more than once and the police have never been called. At least one of every ten vehicles on the road here has a window smashed out at one time or another, domestic dispute, or other reason.

If it was me or you we would of been treated entirely different. probably a Breathalyzer test ,blood test and a ticket right then. the fire hydrant is on public property which means at some time he had to be to hit it. which makes it police business . If he had hit a water sprinkler in his yard and his tree he would be Different. he will get or should get a ticket for reckless driving or failure of having the vehicle under control, Or at least we would get one I should say.

Imagine you're Tiger, sitting on the couch, trying to figure this thing out.
I remember some years back a story out of Los Angeles involving the Greatest Movie Star of All-Time.
Jack Nicholson, after having had a poor day on a local golf course, is irritated by an errant motorist laying on his horn. In boulevard traffic, Jack gets out of his vehicle and plants a 3-iron into the windshield of his alleged irritant. Jack returns to his vehicle and speeds away. Now mind you, Jack failed to exchange insurance and personal information. He left the scene of an "accident?"
His attorneys settled the ordeal for $50,000. Jack would later talk about being ashamed of the incident, quoted as saying his behavior was "regrettable". I admit I admire him for saying so, considering his popularity spiked after the incident. But I must admit, I admire him in other ways too.

He has chosen to be a "Professional" Golf player and as young as Tiger is, he knows how popular media is pre-dominantly transferred through Instant Messaging these days. His well-being is important to his family obviously, but also to the U.S. economy it would seem... being he's the only professional athlete to have ever earned a billion dollars. no one's pressing charges in the so called 'domestic abuse' case, which i guess getting slightly scratched now counts as domestic abuse? seriously, if she had hit him with the club in the back of the head that would be one thing, but she just got mad and scratched his face a little, if thats what domestic abuse is these days than i'm sure cats have visciously domestically abused tiger several times in his life, it's a miracle he isn't traumatized by a couple teeny scratches, the only possible police/ government issue here would be child services determining if it is safe for the kids to live there, and of course it is. They wouldn't even both checking it if there was no media attention.

If I understand you, you are alleging that her violence (if that is in fact even the story) is a criminal offense and she should be looked at in this case, potential charges pending.
Are you seriously suggesting to me that Tiger Woods, a man in as good as physical shape as anyone...
A man who has been trained in at least the basics of self defense, is being beat on by his model wife, mother of 2? The only way this makes sense is if he were asleep, and she attacked him while he was unconscience.
Domestic Violence usually begins when a couple is arguing with each other loudly and then later it escalates into physical confrontation. It doesn't matter how strong or weak a Male of Female is if they are being attacked by some sort of weapon.
Couples aren't in their right minds when they are arguing, so it's best for each person to take a little break. Sometimes, the authorities will go to a home where a couple is arguing and "require" that they separate for a few hours or until the morning. I just hope for Tiger's sake, that he was doing the right thing...
Something strange was going on at the Woods home that night....

I still say Tiger should tell the police to go get f**ked. And if they want to arrest him then, fine; then they look like idiots. But, and trust me, I speak from experience, if you don't have to talk to the police...don't. ever.
Totally agree that they are within their rights, not to speak to the police. Anyone that gives up that right would be out of their mind.
11/28/09 | WBKsports | 366 respect
And just because it was Elin beating up Tiger, doesn't mean the police should just ignore a potential domestic incident. That's the most important thing.
Let us not forget about the kids...Who was keeping an eye on them during this time? Were they asleep? Did they wake up? They are both under 2 years old aren't they? How long did this incident take place? A Domestic Violence case hurts more than just the couple involved especially when they have children.

Keep your mouth shut in situations like this one. You cannot incriminate yourself if you don't talk. And make no mistake- The police are not the one's scheduling interviews with Tiger. Tiger has a team of advisors and attorneys and network heads and whatever resource he needs to spin and dodge this thing, if necessary. His team is calling the media and law enforcement shots. I mean, remember... 100 MILLION people worldwide worship this man and want to know details.

I still say Tiger should tell the police to go get f**ked. And if they want to arrest him then, fine; then they look like idiots. But, and trust me, I speak from experience, if you don't have to talk to the police...don't. ever.
Well, he ran over a public fire hydrant, and smacked a tree. And, as everyone is well aware of, got beat up by his wife. So there are a few things I can see the police being interested in. I mean, it's not like he and Elin will admit anything, but I can see why the cops would at least want to ask some questions.
And just because it was Elin beating up Tiger, doesn't mean the police should just ignore a potential domestic incident. That's the most important thing.

From the very initial report, police said charges could be pending. If charges are potentially pending, doesn't matter what it is, you have to speak with them. Period.
