73 days until college football. Glorious. Not everything is so glorious in Gopher land as the well respected Glen Mason was replaced by an interesting choice in Tim Brewster, who "led" Minnesota to a depressing 1-11 first season (let's not discuss who that sole win was against, please).
New coaches always talk about building a family environment when taking over a program as recruits often look for a father figure to guide them during their collegiate years away from home. That's going to be a tough sell now for Coach Brewster.
Clint Brewster, his son, has decided to transfer out of the program.
The younger Brewster, who had originally committed to Illinois before his dad got the Gopher job, could be taking his quarterbacking skills elsewhere for a variety of reasons. Despite their lack of success, Minnesota does have several signal callers in the chute.
Or he had enough of his dad's antics, namely his request to sit in a large, fancy leather chair at his weekly press conferences.
Either way, we still remain confident that Punky could be doing a better job in Minneapolis.
