Great find by Matt Watson of the Fanhouse of this minor league (I'm guessing) umpire basically admitting he called a guy out for the heck of it because he had a grudge.

You know this happens at the major league level every day, particularly on balls and strikes.

In case you didn't catch that ...

Coach: "So you're saying right there that he's safe?"
Ump: "Yeah."

Coach: "But you called him out for the hell of it?"

Ump: "Yeah, I did."

0	Wow...I hope this ump was fired. Not only is he obviously a terrible ump, he's a complete a-hole about it, too.

0	I honestly can't believe the manager kept his cool there. I would like to see the next 30 seconds of that, because if I were in that situation, I probably would have blasted the ump in the face right there.

You'll never understand my hate for umpires, and this just fuels it. They demand respect from managers and players but say stuff in smart ways, and cuss up a storm. If you want the respect talk it over with the manager, and player, not telling them act like a man, and cuss them out and things like that. I understand umpires aren't peacemakers, but they could at least not act like complete a holes.

0	Was it just me or did that not seem real? It kinda felt like it was dubbed over and wasn't the real dialog. I mean were the ump and manager "wired for sound" like a Monday Night game on ESPN?
