Timmy smokes again! Lincecum hurls no-hitter against the Padres
Like last year, Lincecum's no-hitter was well-timed and ends a slump, at least temporarily. Lincecum threw threw his first-ever no-hitter last season, also against the Padres. This is his 8th season, and he hasn't been an all-star since 2011.
But he may feel like one today, because Tim Lincecum threw a no-hitter against San Diego. Thanks to the magic of MLB.com video embedding, you can watch the last out below.
"It was not a stuff day. It was more of a location day," Lincecum told the San Francisco Chronicle. "Right now, I guess I'm just saying it's really cool."
Previously this season, Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers Josh Beckett and Clayton Kershaw have thrown no-hitters. This win puts the Giants 3.5 games up on the Dodgers in the NL West, with the Dodgers playing the Royals tonight.
