Tim Tebow Becomes First Sophomore to Win the Heisman Trophy
READ MORE:
I'm a little disappointed Tim Tebow didn't thank me during his acceptance speech. Turns out he loves being a part of Gator Nation.

That was basically the exact opposite speech of Charles Woodson, who failed to thank any of his teammates and just thanked his exceptional talent.

While the result is hardly a surprise it's a monumental win for underclassmen. Tebow's unprecedented victory opens up the door for a freshman to win the award which will have sooner or later. This now gives a myriad of talented to-be sophomores more attention at the starting gate.

Here's the full Heisman voting results:

Not surprising, but I think it's unfortunate Todd Reesing didn't even show up in the Top 10. While Kansas didn't play an elite schedule, Hawaii's schedule made the Jayhawks look like they toured the top 10. Good to see a couple defensive players up there. After a freshman wins the award, the next barrier will be for a defensive player. Do you think it will ever happen?

Your thought on Tim Tebow?

How did Sam Bradford not get at least 17 points?

Way to go Tebow! Just an interesting side note...3rd Gator QB to win the Heisman, 3rd son of a preacher to win from Florida.

Who the hell is Chris Long of Virginia? Who voted him first place? Unless his mother has a Heisman vote, whoever voted him first should have his ballot taken away.

I may have been, uh, slightly intoxicated when I wrote that.

Yeah UM is already looking for the next son of a preacher man who plays QB.  That is quite an interesting stat.  One Presby(SOS), one Lutheran(DW) and one evangelical(TT)--quite the diverse group!

I was just curious if I had butchered the above due to the same effects.
