All he does is win, huh? Except when he plays a decent team, of course. And then he loses.

When will you realize that football's a team game? Win as a team, lose as a team. Simple concept.

While I agree that Tebow is not the entire team, this Tebow love isn't any worse than any other QB love when it comes to "winning games" actually. Any other QB out there gets the credit with the media for team records and winning too...we've seen it with a LOT of quarter backs. I can't count the amount of times people have said "well, he just finds a way to win" when talking about a couple of different QB's, without giving credit to the rest of the team as well. It goes the other way too - QB's get the brunt of the blame when the team plays like crap.

After actually watching a few Broncos games this season, I still hold to my initial opinion of Tebow, regardless of what the media says or doesn't say - He may not be a great QB, but he's a pretty good game manager. Also, this coming from a Hawks fan...a good defense is going to play even better if you keep the offense on the field long enough to give the D a rest. He does that. I don't buy into the Tesus hype, but I will give a bit of credit to him.

@chief_aka_james. that is right in my own opinion.

Anyone who posts W-L records solely for QB's, in my mind, are pretty dumb when it comes to football. As what was said above from other people, the other 52 players and coaching staff, have a say in a win or loss. And you're right, they do that for more than just Tebow, Favre was the best at that, and Sanchez the previous two years of "leading" his team to the AFC Championship.

What I disagree with is the "this Tebow love isn't any worse than any other QB love when it comes to "winning games". Last week, during a one hour show (44 minutes if you subtract the commercials), Sportscenter said the name 'Tim Tebow' 88 times. The tally would have been more than 100, but an Ed Werder segment about "Winning The Tebow Way" was cut from the rundown to make room for the breaking news on Jerry Sandusky's arrest on new charges. (that last sentence from a deadspin article...there's also a video of every Tebow uttered, if you want to hear that)

Now, besides the previous mentioned Favre, who would have to retire or un-retire to get that amount of coverage, how is this not any worse?

lol...I don't count, but I know I've been just as tired of the media love for other QB's as I am with the Tebow hype. It may be on a whole other level but quite honestly, it seems to me like he's just the flavor of the season right now. Eventually the Broncos will lose a game and the media will find a new toy.

I know that I've heard the "he just finds a way to win" with a few different QB's though is what I meant...not just Tebow. Specifically Ben Roethlisberger stands out in my mind especially during the playoffs, Eli Manning recently, and so many more in years past. It's silly to me that the QB's get all the credit, just as much as it's silly to me that they take all of the blame when things go south. But, it is what it is.

1. Sorry if I didn't put enough sarcasm into the extra jobs Tebow does. Everyone is quick to give him credit for everything, last I checked there are 52 other players on the team. No one wants to give one of them credit, it's all Tebow doing. Just as you did, praise him and not giving credit to (in this game) Matt Prater and his two amazing field goals.

2. He may very well have put up 220. Which by no means is anything to brag about, I could name many that do that in a half of football. But with Cutler and Forte the Bears offense average 23.3 points per game (that's 10.3 more than the Broncos 13), not saying they would put up that many, it's in the Bears favor.

3. Just to catch you up, they changed the style of offense when Tebow was named starter. So yes, he sorta was. In his coaches own words, "If we were trying to run a regular offense, he'd be screwed.".

4. Eli manning holds the record for most comeback wins. Most QB's have the ability to control the game from the start and don't have to have that last minute I hope to god this works so I look like I knew what I'm doing drive.

5. They ran the option in those last four games, to suit his non ability to play in a NFL style offense.

Don't come at me with your opinion when I show facts, talk about weak. So I say again, put up numbers like a QB, run a real offense (something other than what Urban Meyer does), show the ability to control the entire game, then call me. Thanks!

you said on here, Tebow,  would not make it 2 games, that all teams had to do is have a week to get ready, and now you are using lame excuses, <--- I'm not sure what that is, but I never said it. You're either confusing me for someone else, or trying to make me look like I did. I've never had a conversation with you on this subject other than in this thread.

OK
1) no where did I say Tebow did it all by himself, like no other QB does it by themselves. It is a team sport.

2) It is not bragging that he put up 220 yards, simply saying a RB, or TE is not coming in and doing that. Not every QB will do that. If he is doing what other QBs are doing against the Bears then there is facts showing he can play QB.

3) This years Broncos changed the the style of the offense, not last year, when he came into the start. So you do not have to catch me up, and we do not have to go into the sorry play calling the Broncos did the first 3 games. Which no they did not have to, and did not do last season.

4) I ask how many has more then Tebow, and you got it 1 QB does, never did I say he had the most. When the game counts most do not deliver and get their team in position to win, and yes it is a team sport, but his teammates believe in and and have played better as the season gone on. You can see many had given up on the season when Orton was the starter.

5) Yes Fox did say that, he has also come out and say that Tebow has gotten better passing and we are beating teams with his arm now too. Elway even said that Tebow has gotten better and cannot wait to teach him what he knows to make him a better QB.

You do not come with facts, instead you come with weak excuses, "they played bad defenses", when two are in the top 10 and two have been in the bottom 10. all the other in between. The  Packers are on the bottom of total defense and teams do not seem to be beating them. They just like the Broncos have been coming up with the downs and stops when it is needed to win the games. Also there is not fact that the Bears would have played better having Cutler or Forte, that is an opinion. Just like saying it was fact no one from the system that Tebow played in cannot make it in the NFL, when you have Grossman still playing in the NFL.  So call, again it would be waste of time, I am sure you would have another excuse why Tebow cannot play.

I may have gotten you mix up with someone else, and yes we have not talked about Tebow, I just read though them and see the things that are said. Sometimes I post other times I don't. So I may be wrong, but I was pretty sure you said when Tebow was named the starter he would not last long, give teams a full week to get ready for him, he would be out in two games.

I knew I wasn't the only one that felt that Tebow is receiving too much credit...  Just shows how gullible most people can be being as though Tebow has yet to face an elite NFL team...  If you notice, John Elway always look insecure on the sidelines or in the luxury suites everytime his Broncos are in a close game... Tebow to me is a "Character" than a bonafide QB like Cam Newton who to me is the rookie of the year and is a bonafide QB...

PREACH!!  If you notice, Tebow has yet to face the elite teams like the Ravens, Steelers and the Pats... Speaking of the pats, we'll see how Mr. Man, Myth and Legend (Tim Tebow) will do against New England...

Tebow just does a good job at encouraging his team along with managing the game.  I think his team responds to that.
