You make the call: Should Tim Thomas be suspended for his slash on Carl Soderburg?
Former Bruins goalie Tim Thomas had a REALLY rough game last night, giving up 6 goals against his former team.
Understandably, he was a bit frustrated at his complete ineptitude.
Less understandably, he decided to take it out on one of the Bruins players, slashing Carl Soderburg in the neck as the clock ticked down near the end of the 3rd period.
Should Thomas be suspended for this? Personally, I don't think there's any doubt about it. This is something that the league needs to take very seriously, and I don't think Brendan Shanahan will have any trouble suspending Thomas for at least 5 games once he looks at the film.
