Your occasional diversion from sports ...I'm not intimately familiar with the inner workings of the state of Oklahoma, I've only driven through Oklahoma City briefly en route to Dallas, but I saw all I needed to see.
Not to mention their pension for sending 4-year-olds off to preschool drunk and attacking a man's testicles if he appears at a local bar wearing the rival schools colors. By all accounts it appears like a special place that could desperately use the entertainment/distraction of an NBA franchise.
