Today Show confuses Michael Vick and Jerrod Johnson
NFL, Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles

The Today Show apparently thinks all black QBs look alike

Aug 05, 2011; Bethlehem, PA, USA; Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks Michael Vick (7) Vince Young (9) and Jerrod Johnson (1) watch as quarterback Mike Kafka (3) drops back to pass during training camp at Lehigh University. Mandatory Credit: Howard Smith-US PRESSWIREMichael Vick was profiled on the Today Show this morning. They featured interviews with him, some information about his troubled past, and then some video of a random guy throwing a football.

Yes, that's right. A random guy. Not entirely random, mind you. He bears some similarities to Vick, in that he was a QB for the Philadelphia Eagles who happened to be African-American.

Otherwise, it's not terribly easy to confuse the two of them. Jerrod Johnson, the player featured in the video, is considerably larger than Vick. And there's also the simple fact that he's right-handed. Vick is left-handed.

Overall, the Today Show did a good job interviewing Vick, and got him to reveal some pretty interesting things about his dog-fighting and other issues on and off the field.

It's just a shame they made fools out of themselves by showing video of the wrong QB.
