Even amid intense rivalry, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady maintains great sportsmanship spirit. When the two sides meet at Gillette Stadium on Friday, Tom Brady will be viewing his counterpart as an elite quarterback, a title that really hasn’t  always stuck with Joe Flacco.
The New England Patriots meet the Baltimore Ravens for the second straight season at the Gillette Stadium in pursuit of the AFC title and a shot at the Super Bowl title as well. Tom Brady’s New England Patriots side beat Joe Flacco’s Baltimore Ravens 23-20. Even though the New England Patriots will be targeting to repeat history against the Baltimore Ravens, Tom Brady has a lot of respect for the young quarterback Joe Flacco, who’s starting his fifth consecutive playoffs over a five-year career in the NFL.
"Joe's done a great job since he came into the league," Tom Brady praised in a press conference on Wednesday. "I've watched a lot of film on him and his offense this year. Over the last few years I didn't have a chance to do that. He's a great leader."
Joe Flacco currently leads the league in quarterback passer rating 120.0 in the playoffs, completing 30 of 57 passes for 613 yards including five touchdowns and zero touchdowns in the past two games. After the New England Patriots’ 41-28 victory over the Houston Texans last Sunday, Tom Brady ranks second with a quarterback passer rating of 115.0.
Moreover, Joe Flacco seemed to outshine Tom Brady in the Baltimore Ravens’ Week 3 matchup against the New England Patriots. Joe Flacco completed 28 of 39 passes for 382 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Baltimore Ravens to a 31-30 victory on nationally televised game.
Despite the New England Patriots’ 7-2 record against the Baltimore Ravens since 1996, including a 1-1 record in playoffs, Tom Brady will be wary of the underdogs who churned up a 38-35 comeback win over the AFC top seed Denver Broncos.
"To put your team in this position takes a lot of guys but they have a lot of confidence in Joe," stated Tom Brady. "He does a lot of really good things."
