Dec 29, 2013; Foxborough, MA, USA; New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) signals his teammates at the line of scrimmage during the second quarter against the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Winslow Townson-USA TODAY SportsTom Brady has a strong case as the greatest quarterback of all time. At the very least, most people would agree that he's among the top 5 ever to play the game.

Apparently he has fallen off a bit, according to Sporting News, who have ranked him as the worst QB remaining in the playoffs.

Yes, that's right. They've ranked 3-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady as the worst QB left in the playoffs. The guy with two Super Bowl MVPs, two regular season MVPs, 9 Pro Bowl nods, and 2 first-team All-Pro nominations. That's the worst QB left in the playoffs, according to The Sporting News.

Their criteria included arm strength, accuracy/delivery, mobility/athleticism, pocket presence/awareness and intangibles. Brady ranked among the bottom half in every category.

The totals, after they assigned point values to each QB and added them up:
1. Manning, Luck, Wilson — 28
4. Brees — 22
5. Newton — 21
6. Rivers, Kaepernick — 19
8. Brady — 15

I'm one of the folks who would rank Brady as the greatest of all time, so it goes without saying that I disagree pretty strongly with this list. I'd take Brady over any of those guys. Also, I think it would be a mistake to rank him so poorly in things like intangibles, pocket presence/awareness, and accuracy/delivery. It may also be a mistake to award the exact same amount of points for mobility as they do for accuracy.

Still, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Even if that opinion happens to be laughably wrong.

You might just say *removes sun glasses* this season has been murder on the Pats.

No doubt Brady hasn't had his best year, between being hurt and losing some great weapons, but about the worst you could rank him is 3rd behind Brees and Manning.  Good Lord.

I would like to know what writer is responsible for this article. Also Tom Brady always has a different corps of receivers, mostly younger 'green' talent, granted Brady is a step slower than his Super Bowl years, but I wonder what facts this SN writer based his knowledge on!
Does these other QBs been to 5 Super Bowls??
