Tom Brady's comments draw ire of New York Media

Shocking news: The New York media are still obnoxious and delusional

Tom Brady spoke to Patriots fans yesterday at the Patriots' going-away party in Boston, on their way to Indianapolis to prepare for the Super Bowl. He thanked the fans for showing up, and said that he hoped to see even more people the following week for their victory celebration parade. Because, like every other Patriots player and their fans, he's hoping they win on Sunday.

Of course, the New York media took it in stride.

Here's Brady's exact quote:

"We're going down there for one reason. We're going to give it our best and hopefully we'll have a lot more people at our party next weekend."

Yup, that's it. That's the statement that Tom Brady made in Boston that warranted the front AND back pages of the tabloid rag known as the New York Post.

Glad to see that the New York media aren't losing their mind or anything. And it's not just the Post. Gary Myers of the New York Daily News attempted to provide the Giants with bulletin board material as well, comparing Brady's relatively innocuous comment to the time Jerry Jones gave his players NFC Championship game tickets before they even beat the Giants in the Divisional round 4 years ago.

Sorry, folks, but it's nothing like that. If the Giants are so under-motivated that they need something like this to be their "football viagra" and get them up for the game, then go ahead. Because Brady will be ready no matter what.

Let's not lump all NY sports media in here. We are talking about the tabloids--the NY Post and NY Daily News. You don't see this stuff from the Times, or even Newsday for that matter....

I'm a little disappointed you wasted your time reading anything from the New York media.
