It's tough to find much on the waiver wire at this point in the season, but with the trade deadline coming up this week, we could possibly see some moves that will shake things up in the fantasy world. Here are some players that could be affected by trades along with some other late bloomers worth picking up for your fantasy team:

Freeman is owned in quite a few leagues by now, but he can still be had in 38% of Yahoo leagues. Freeman is averaging a stunning 327.3 yards with ten touchdowns to only two interceptions over his last four games. I had been holding off on him due to the poor defenses he had been facing, but he's won me over after an impressive performance against the Vikings' 12th ranked pass defense last Thursday. He's definitely worth a pickup as a bye week fill-in or matchup play.

Carson Palmer (OAK): Palmer doesn't often shock you with numbers, but he's been a model of consistency in the fantasy realm, putting up 297+ yards or 2+ touchdowns in all but one game. Palmer is set to face the Buccaneers' 31st ranked pass defense this week.

Running Backs

Jonathan Dwyer (PIT): Dywer has now put together two straight games with 100+ yards rushing, and has averaged over six yards per carry in each of those games. He's earned the trust of the coaching staff, and reports indicate that he'll be the Week 9 starter. With other Steelers' backs Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman dealing with injuries, Dywer could be a solid option for a couple more weeks.

Daryl Richardson (STL): The Rams have been willing to throw Richardson into the mix more than Steven Jackson's past backups, and Richardson has impressed with 41.9 yards per game on 5.4 yards per carry. Peter King of Sports Illustrated is now saying that there is a 55% chance that Jackson gets traded before the deadline, which would likely make Richardson a workhorse in St. Louis. He's worth picking up and holding on to until the trade deadline passes.

Titus Young (DET): Young began the season poorly as the third receiver in Detroit, but has been playing great since former No. 2 receiver Nate Burleson broke his leg. In the game Burleson got hurt, Young had six catches for 81 yards. He improved on those numbers this past week, catching nine balls for 100 yards and two touchdowns. He's a must-add in all leagues.

Cecil Shorts (JAX): Shorts is coming off of a career game in which he had eight catches for 116 yards. The week before, he caught four passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. With fellow wide receiver Mike Thomas being traded to Detroit on Tuesday, Shorts could begin getting enough looks to make him a consistent fantasy option.
