So, where do those Steelers throwback jerseys rank among the NFL's all-time worst jerseys?
However, they're really going over the top with these throwback uniforms, which will apparently be worn sometime this year in an actual game, according to our friends over at NFL Spin Zone.
These will be worn to celebrate their 80th season.
Personally, I think this is something that would look better in a prison yard, or on Halloween. But then again, it should be no surprise that the Steelers have ugly throwback uniforms.
I'm not sure if you remember these, but the Steelers were featured a few years ago in a post here on FanIQ about the ugliest NFL jerseys ever. However, with these on the radar now, it's time for an updated list.
First, we'll go over the top 5 throwback jerseys, and then the worst. Feel free to let me know if I've missed one.
1: Oakland Raiders
They're plain, classy (not normal for the Raiders) and they just look so clean. Even when they're dirty. You can never go wrong with a simple white, silver and black.
2. San Diego Chargers
Ah, the powder blues. These are an absolute classic, and almost crept into the #1 spot.
3. New England Patriots
Both of their throwbacks are pretty amazing, to be honest. Sure, I'm a bit of a homer, but the old Pat Patriot logo on the helmet is one of the best in all of sports.
4. Philadelphia Eagles
If you saw the movie "Invincible," then you definitely saw a lot of this uniform. And that's a good thing.
5. Buffalo Bills
Their old AFL jerseys, with the buffalo on the helmet, was a classic. It takes you back to the days of O.J. Simpson, back before he was a suspected murderer. You know, when he was a world-class running back, not a world-class a**hole.
