Tracy McGrady's Injury Situation Likely Means The End Of His Tenure In Houston
T-Mac Done, Houston Done, Relationship Done.
Tracy McGrady's time in Houston will be over shortly after his latest stunt.  Tracy McGrady told the Houston Rockets media that he would miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

Houston coach Rick Adelman lashed out at McGrady after practice on Wednesday for not informing the team of his intentions. Adelman said he only learned that McGrady was out for the season when he read it in a newspaper in the morning.

Telling the media and posting on his website that he would be out for the rest of the year before telling the team is like breaking up with a girlfriend over text message, you just don't do it.  The relationship with McGrady in Houston had been in question throughout the media for quite some time, but now the feeling is that McGrady may never play in a Houston Rockets uniform again.

This unfortunate blow to the Rockets may end their hopes of a strong season.  The Rockets are currently 33-21, but only a 0.5 games ahead of New Orleans and 1 game ahead of the Dallas Mavericks in the Southwest Division.  The Rockets could fall to one of the last Western Conference spots and face a possible matchup with the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.  I'm not ready to predict the Rockets to miss the playoffs, but the loss of Mcgrady crushes any hope of a deep playoff run.

Is McGrady done in Houston, what do you think?

"but the loss of Mcgrady crushes any hope of a deep playoff run."

Nice article, but this line is kind of an oxy-moron.  Tracy McGrady's absence may actually increase the chances of a deeper playoff round.  At least in regards to getting out of the first round.  The Rockets still have a solid team, I just hope for their sake that they don't make a panic trade and give up too many of their complimentary players.

McGrady is just another one of those "ME" players. Those type of players never win. A.I., T-MAC, C-WEBB. They're like the Chris Brown of basketball, they have something really nice looking right in front of them, but they bite it instead.

Tracy McGrady has been enigma since he joined the NBA.  He's gotten worse since joining the Rockets, where his scoring numbers have decreased while his injury problems have increased.  The guy is owed something like 23 million dollars next season, a hefty price for a guy who cant seem to play half a season.  The Rockets would be better served to get rid of him, but I cant see anybody wanting a player with persistent injury problems with a huge price tag on there head for next season.

What team in their right mind is going to view him as a solid investment? He wants to sit on the sidelines and be paid for being injured. He has no business playing in the NBA anymore. It's  sad that his injuries have come to this but the man needs a swift kick in the ass for a reality check.

The only person I can think of recovering from that is Amar'e Stoudemire, and he is a lot younger with a lot less wear and tear on his body.  T-Mac will probably play again in time, but the rest of his career might go the way of Allan Houston.

haha yeah I know I thought about that too...McGrady can't win a playoff series to save his life....I just couldn't write them out of the playoffs entirely...great point.  I just dont see them competing without him

T-Mac is like his career broken. He stays hurt too much. When the free agent time comes. I think teams wont sign him to the deal he wants he's injured too much and hes not the T-Mac that came into the NBA.

The same people who recommended Enron as a solid investment would invest in T-Mac

He played his best basketball along side Vinsanity.  How the hell did the Raptors not win with those two on the same team?
