Trade New: More Updates on the New York Jets and the Tim Tebow Trade deal
Later it was reported by ESPN’s Jane McManus that the New York Jets are scheduling a press conference on Monday to officially announce Tim Tebow as a part of New York Jets roster.
Jane McManus Tweeted:
“The Jets have scheduled the Tim Tebow welcome press conference for Monday.”
Then it was further reported from the Associated Press’s source that Tim Tebow will need to sign a re-written contract with the New York Jets before he can officially be made a part of the team. This glitch also resulted in Tim Tebow staying on the Denver Broncos pay roll for an additional day till the new papers came in.
Tim Tebow has already been spotted in the New York Jets, New Jersey facility and was even a part of a conference call with the local media but the fact of the matter is that Tim Tebow will only be announced as an official part of the New York Jets on the Monday new York Jets press conference.
According to Fox Sports, the New York Jets do not want Tim Tebow relocating to New York City and this bump in the contract twill give the player more time to find a place in New Jersey.
It was reported by FOX Sports that:
"The team will encourage Tim Tebow to live in New Jersey near the practice facility," the source said. "They are not going to want him to be influenced and distracted in the city."
It seems that people of family and faith get affected by the night life of New York City a lot more than people actually realize it to.
"New York is a tough place for someone with a holy background, and I can see it corrupting him," said Maria Katz, a hostess at Sapphire's Gentleman's Club on the Upper East Side.
"We love breaking the good boy. We hear it all the time, 'I don't want a lap dance, I've got a wife,' and then they're walking out at 6:00am."
Another drastic and rather interesting feat was how quick the Denver Broncos were in the move of flipping Tim Tebow after they managed to sign Peyton Manning.
It was also reported by Jeff Darlington that the deal almost died out after the New York Jets just missed out on a fine print contract detail that they would owe the Denver Broncos $5 million over the 4th and 6th round pick that the team was giving up.
Jeff Darlington Tweeted:
“Broncos source says New York Jets agreed to Tim Tebow trade – and it’s their fault for not thoroughly reading contract. They contend trade should stand.”
Later on compromises on the deal were hammered out where the New York Jets were paying half of that initial contract price that they had overlooked and even though this trade seems to be concluded up till now, stay tuned for more updates on this mega trade between the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos.
