Happy Tuesday everyone! It seemed like a good day to start the game thread and poll back up after a Monday of nothing for hockey. Not that I don't love the Avs, but two games on a March day is a pitiful excuse for a regular day in hockey season.

Tonight we get a special treat - a game on Versus! Who here will be watching the Thrashers and the Flyers in what promises we hope to be an exciting game? I'm sure that when this game was scheduled, somebody thought it would mean more. The Thrashers may not have played well the past couple of months but I have to believe they have it in them to win sometime. Unless, of course, they're already looking toward next season and have given up on even showing some sort of intensity for the remainder of this one.

Maple Leafs @ Islanders: I don't even want to pretend to know what's going on with either of these teams. On a whim, I'll choose the Leafs.
Penguins @ Rangers: **stupid bold pick alert** Rangers upset the Penguins tonight in the Garden (this pick is bold no matter which way I pick, as I have to incur the wrath of one of my hockey buds on the site either way).
Thrashers @ Flyers: Flyers need this win to hold on to their spot in the playoff race. I think that, coupled with the Thrashers' lack of determination right now = a game Atlanta fans won't want to watch.
Flames @ Blue Jackets: Another case of "barely playoff seeded team vs. team with very little chance in hell of making it" - the Flames win this one in Columbus.
Blues @ Canadiens: Really?
Capitals @ Predators: oooh this is going to be a good game. The Preds have surprised me this year; I thought they'd be down there where the Kings and Lightning sit. This will be a hard-fought game, as both teams are *right there* in the playoff hunt. I'll give the Predators the edge in this one, only because they're playing at home...nothing more, nothing less.
Coyotes @ Oilers: Am I the only one who sees the injustice in the fact that the Coyotes and Oilers have the same record? Why does it seem that Phoenix is just the better team here, by far? I think they take this one.
Sharks @ Kings: I REALLY want the Kings to pull off this upset. Please?
