It was the 9th championship for UConn, all of which have come under the guidance of head coach Geno Auriemma. It also came only 24 hours after the UConn men's team won the championship against Kentucky.

Brianna Stewart led UConn with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Stefanie Dolson also chipped in 17 points and 16 rebounds. Also, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis added 18 points and 7 rebounds.

This UConn team, as usual, is stacked from top to bottom with some of the best players in the country.
