Can Anderson Silva Beat A Fomer Champ At 205? And Can Kenny Florian Beat The Prodigy? [UFC 101 Live Thread]

UFC is getting closer to looking at rigged fights every few months. Their was no way that Silva knocked out Griffen with that back steping love tap. If he had been knocked out, then he would not of gotten up and jogged towards the back.

All in all, decent night of fights but IMO still not the best advertisement for UFC. A guy gets KOed by a punch when the striker is backing away? Wow, that's a totally disgraceful way to get KOed. Reminds me of some great Roy Jones Jr fights when he'd put both hands behind his back and then stick his chin out and when the guy tried to punch him he'd lean back and then KO the guy.

Does the Knock out of Forrest Remind anyone else of Kimbo vs Petruzelli? Maybe we need Anderson to take on Seth.

anybody else think that there might have been more to the Silva Forrest fight? To be honest I didn't give Forest a shot in H@!!...but he does have heart and a undeniable will to go on. One punch from Silva backing up though seemed to do him in ..but he had enough energy to pop right up and run to his dressing room. Not ready to quite call it fixed but I am diffidently going to question it. A man that can take HUGE bombs and go on but one straight from Silva and he quits....

At least Florian and Penn put on a good fight.

It's almost safe to say he's bored with light heavyweights as well. Unfortunately, he and Lyoto Machida are training partners, and refuse to fight each other. I think that fight needs to happen, though.

That fight ruined my night. I had been looking forward to that for months, and that sucked. I hope this next fight is better.

Wow that was a TERRIBLE stoppage, one of the worst I've seen in a while, he did get rocked by those uppercuts, but come on, give him a chance dan.

Even though Amir got tagged by a couple of shots, I have to agree with Joe Rogan that it seemed like a little bit of a quick hook by the ref.  I smell a rematch down the line

Man, that was a sick armbar attempt, I'm surprised he got out.

Grove had his chance in the 2nd round to submit Almeida but he couldnt lock in the armbar tightly.  Almeida wins by a 30-27 decision

All is well over here now. Kendall Grove looks sickly... and Ricardo Almeida needs to stop giving his limbs to Grove. He's begging to get submitted.

Pellegrino wins by a 30-27 decision on all 3 cards.... no big shock

Neer finally reversed and got ontop of Pellegrino with 30 seconds left in the 3rd round and connected with a couple of elbows that busted Pellegrino open but it's probably going to be too little too late

You arent missing much with the opening fight.  Pellegrino has had Neer on his back for the whole fight and is just basically laying on him

And now that's messing up for me as well. Dammit.
