Jones retains his Light Heavy Weight title after a fourth round submission of Vitor Belfort.
Jon Jones said he was waiting for his arm to break, after Vitor Belfort sunk in a deep arm bar on the champ, in the first round of their main event fight at UFC 152.
Belfort managed to grab hold of a sneaky arm bar early in the first round after Jones had taken him down against the cage. For a split second, it looked like we would be witnessing one of the biggest upsets in UFC history, as Belfort hyper-extended the champions arm.
“He got that arm bar in every way, shape and form. I’ve never had my arm pop like that before. I felt it, but I worked too hard to give up.”
“I was honestly waiting for it to break. But I was not going to tap out. I’ve never felt that before. I just felt numb. It was just a real numb feeling.”
Jones dominated the rest of the fight and finished the challenger in the fourth round with a vicious submission of his own, which also won him a ‘Submission of the Night’ bonus for an extra $65,000.

He earned a lot respect for not tapping to that arm bar.
